Water for the Villages

Lack of clean drinking water on the countryside was previously only solved by storing rain-water in huge pots and even that was only possible during the rainy season. In order to provide safe and permanent water access for the villagers, JS started digging wells in 2000. Starting from three wells in the founding year of the project, the number of wells built by the JS in Phnom Penh, Kandal and Kompong Speu grew to 60 in 2004.
