Kids against War Campagin
Kids Against War is a campaign initiated by Song Kosal, a young Cambodian landmine survivors. She was asked to be the first to sign the People's Treaty against Landmines in Ottawa in December 1997. Along with her friends Sok Kheurm Man and Men Chan, she wants peace in this century:
No more landmines
No more war victims FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
No more child soldiers
They want the money used for weapons that destroy life channelled to water, food, health and education programmes so that the children of the 21st century may live life to the fullest.
BAN THE LANDMINES
OF THE HEART AS WELL AS IN THE EARTH
Song Kosal and 5 point Appeal for Peace in the World.
Every day I will do one thing that makes peace grow like a flower
I will solve arguments peacefully and without violence.
I will spend five minutes reflecting peacefully
I will care for and not destroy the environment
I will help those wounded by landmines and war
CAN YOU PROMISE ONE OF THESE?
She calls all young people to work for peace. Click on her photo to know more how mines affect youth.
Youth mine ambassador of Canada and friends from Africa have joined the campaign already. They have been asking kids from each country to design a symbol of PEACE that represents the hopes of the kids of their country.
