We work with the village farmers in Ang Snuol

For over a decade now, we have been working with the village farmers in the rural areas of Ang Snuol. At the heart of our work in Ang Snuol is the Farmers Solidarity Associations. Each village and their farmers involved in our program form an individual Association. Supported by our team, the members of the Associations are encouraged to build up a sense of unity, solidarity, responsibility and confidence.

With initial financial support from our team, the role of each Association is to help develop, grow and financially sustain their village through incoming generating projects like pig raising, sugar palm production, cow and rice banks. Once financially stable, the individual Associations are able to provide their own loans and support to their village people.

Our team at Ang Snuol also provides other services to the villages including:

• Informal education for women and children about hygiene, small diseases, AIDs, mother and child health care
• Adult literacy including the establishment and maintenance of libraries
• Assistance in education for the village children
• Health services such as check-ups, treatments and extra-food
• Emergency food
• Agricultural assistance such as distribution of seeds and trees

In our Ang Snuol Rural Development program today, we have more than 210 Associations and more than 9300 members.
