
On February 16th, 18 Montagnard refugees left Cambodia for the United States of America. Wendy Liu, a nurse working with JRS in Phnom Penh, accompanied the group, which included one pregnant woman. A further 18 refugees are due to leave on the 22nd February. To date USA, Canada and Finland have agreed to resettle recognized Vietnamese Montagnard refugees currently staying in Cambodia.
Baby born in Site 2, Phnom Penh
On the 18th February a beautiful baby girl was born in Site 2. Mother and baby were taken to Visalsok Hospital and are both well. The baby's mother is a Montagnard refugee currently housed in one of 4 sites managed by JRS in Phnom Penh.

Refugee Service currently provides shelter, food, healthcare, education and legal
assistance to 771 Montagnard asylum seekers and refugees from Vietnam.
