THE ROAD TO RATTANAKMUNDOUL

I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to visit the Education Project of Rattanakmundol.  It was a great journey on the back of the motorbike, and I just loved meeting familiar faces of teachers whom I had met in the Teacher Training sessions we have had already.
These schools are very remote!  Heading to the hills! The pre-schools I saw just delighted me as I enjoyed the enthusiasm of the teachers, and watched the children having fun while learning.
The classroom organization and the good use of resources was a joy to see. The teachers make the resources themselves and are shown how to use them in teacher training sessions, run by Sr Cecile.

There is great support from the school Directors and teachers, and this is great co-operation.  Unfortunately, seeing the Grade 1 & 2 classes with bare walls, was sad, but at least there had been wonderful happy learning  times in the pre-school.
Many thanks Rattanakmundoul for the welcoming me and I hope to see you again soon for some more ideas.
