Cambodia on campaign activities
- Siem Reap event on 12-13 February 2009: 20 People with disability were gather in Reflection Centre Siem Reap where they reflected on their life and how they satisfy with the service for people with disability in Cambodia and gap of services. Most of victim raised on lack of medical care, reintegrate into society and opportunity to employ or change to get jobs.
- Kampong Thom event on 23 February 2009: More than 500 landmine survivors and other people with disabilities, community leaders, monks, police, and representatives from mine action organizations gathered in Thmor Samleang village to reflect on Cambodian mine action and victim assistant
progress. The event took place the day before National Mine Awareness Day, which is celebrated on 24 February. T-shirt with slogans meaningful in promoting on mine action, victim assistance and cluster munitions was printed and distributed to participants and NGOs attended. Otherwise the soft drink also provided to all of them. Purpose of awareness on mines and cluster bombs risk day are let them aware on mine action situation in Cambodia as well as in the world, be a chance listening to survivor stories each other, to hear from them on the service gap on victim assistance in Cambodia which raised by themselves. What we learn from them are the socio-economic inclusion, psycho-social assistance, law and policies, and medical care still inadequate in Cambodia.
- Kandal event on 26 February 2009: Aprox. 200 handicap people include handicap students where they came from different places in Cambodia to learn skill training in Banteay Prieb at Vocational Training School are joined event in purpose to make them aware about the landmines and cluster bomb issues in Cambodia. We have a very good moved with them by setting a discussion on services for PwD in, listen to songs meaning encouraged handicap to access more study and aware about mines accident in Cambodia. Many of them provided an idea on how the service can be improve for helping handicap and landmine victims. Otherwise many questions asked on the progress of national and international community ideas for helping survivor. Songs written and created as video-CD by our video team and provided to teacher teaching at school.

*** leaflet on cluster bombs awareness, disabilities legislation, special newsletter on progress of landmine victims services and cluster bombs flyer were delivered.
- Banteay Meanchey 1 March 2009: To celebrate 1 March of MBT entry into Force, a radio talk bak program were held through FM 96.5 MHZ in Banteay Meanchey which live on 6-7pm (Time in Cambodia). During an hour broadcasting, the program provided a chance for people living in northwest country where are the landmines are, listen to news on landmines and cluster bombs issue happening in Cambodia and around the world as well. Especially the program highlight the 5 target countries that campaigners around the world challenge them join the MBT. Otherwise road to 2nd review conference on MBT in Catagena, Colombia are well informed. In addition, live talk back from audience is another change for people living in mine affected community to express their own opinion and ask the question about mine action in Cambodia context and call world leaders as well to stop producing landmines and destroy its all and changed their mind to provide funding to clear mines and help
survivors instead. Questions such as HOW IS AN EFFECTIVENESS OF THE OTTAWA TREATY IN FACT? was asked to Mine Action Authority in Cambodia and broadcasted.
