WORLD YOUTH DAY
About 50 Cambodia are going to Australia for the activities surrounding the visit of Pope Benedict and World Youth Day. From our team Seap with Vee(JRS Children House, Scholarship) leave first on July 5 to attend the Mercy activities in West Australia and Sydney. On 12th Tongleang, Fr.Gabby and Wendy with others will attend the Jesuit activities MAGIS, activities in Sydney. Rob Allsop will be one of the organizing team there. Our team will return on 22 July.
In Cambodia, the first overseas arrival, Eloise Shutlleworth, arrived on July 3. Eloise is the duaghter of Ed Shuttleworth who first suggested the Magis programme. Jesuit Service will host visitors in Siem Reap and Banteay Prieb and Battambang.
Thanks to all the team members who are contributiong their time, energy, creativity, patience and prayers to ists success. The ouerseas visitors will come to Cambodia and then go to Australia. We welcome them all.
BANTEAY PRIEB
Banteay Prieb gave a big farewell to Joaqui as he leaves on Sabbatical until Khmer New Year 2009. Joaqui will leave for Spain July 20. In Don was welcomed as he takes on a leadership role in Banteay Prieb.
We pray for Thida, as she sees her father suffering from liver cancer.

VISITORS
David Tutty from Justice and Peace New Zealand
COMINGS and GOINGS
Fr.Gabriel has returned from Tokyo where we felt renewed by the meetings with other Jesuit leaders. He will go to Indonesia for the ordination of Toto on July 21.
Wendy will go to Hong Kong on 26 July and leave for rest and study in early September.
Denise leaves for Chapter in Australia from July 5 till July 12.
Jae Jin will go to Kompong Thom for
months to work in the parish
Rob Allsop will come back in early August.
Sophie Lee and some Taiwanese student will visit Banteay Meanchey next week
Jung Mi Hung will arrive from Korea on 9 July and is willing to help the Ear Programme in the various bases.
4 Korean Scholastices with a priest will arrive on July 11.
Maureen Kerr will arrive on July 27, She is education consultant for Catholic Education, New Zealand. With Sr.Anne and our village teams she will look at basic education. Remember our teacher seminar 13/14/15 August. More news on this next Links
